Happy New Year

All sections will restart on Wednesday 10th January, at their usual start times. Please click here for the start times.

To start off 2024, we have a couple of leader changes. Shannon will takeover as Section Leader for the Squirrel section. Ami will takeover as Section Leader for the Beaver section, as well as continuing to oversee the Young Leaders. Nicky will takeover as Section Leader for the Scout section.
As a group, all leaders work together to provide a ‘scouting experience’ for all children, and occasionally leaders like to lead on different age groups.

We are still looking for parents to help and strengthen the overall running of the group and I would be grateful if you could have a look at our volunteer roles. One role that we desperately need filling is the Group Chair Person, who will work directly we me behind the scenes ensuring the group is operating within the guidelines of the Scout Assertion.

I do encourage you to sign up for an account and check your child’s information is correct, as we will be submitting our annual census figures to HQ very soon.

Go Cardless – Payment System
Go Cardless is our payment collection system for subs, activities, events and investiture. For information on how/when we take payments, please click here.
We currently have a few unpaid accounts and I will contacting these parents directly. In the meantime, please login and ensure you’re payments are up to date.

All members are required to wear a minimum of Jumper or Shirt depending on which section they are in.
We have a limited supply of Squirrel jumpers and t-shirts, please speak to Nicky for availability.
For all other sections, please visit the Scout Store; Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
New members should aim to get a jumper/shirt with in 4 to 6 weeks of joining. Once you have the uniform, your son/daughter will be invested into the group and be presented with their own neckerchief and badges.

Parents & Siblings
For the health & safety of our members, parents who have not been invited to attend or who have not had a DBS via the Scout Association, are not permitted to stay inside the school after dropping off their child.
Similarly, siblings not should be left before or after their own session time. We do not have space or the leaders available to ‘mind’ siblings. I appreciate this can cause difficulty for parents who have multiple children across different sections, but the safety of the children is paramount.
