Go Cardless is a 3rd party company that we use to collect all income for the Group including; subscriptions, day trips, uniform and camps.
Subscriptions (subs), are £4.50 per week and we operate 40 weeks per year, totalling £180.00, which will be spread over 12 payments. For families who have 2 or more children in the group, then the subs are £4.00 per week.
– If you only have 1 child in the group, then you will be invoiced monthly for £15.00 per month.
– If you have 2 or more children in the group, then you will be invoiced monthly for £13.33 per month, per child.
In addition to the subs payment, Member Insurance (known as Capitation) is payable on a monthly basis. Last year the cost was £55.00 per person.
We ask for a parent contribution of £20.00 per child (36% of the full cost) and we will undertake fundraising initiatives to cover the remaining cost. This will be split over 12 months and you will be charge £1.67 per month, along with your monthly subscriptions as per above.
Therefore; your total monthly will either be £16.67 or £15.00 per month.
Your OSM account will show your child/children’s payment screen and will list any upcoming payments for subs, camps, insurance or trips. You have the option to make an instant payment using the Pay Now button or create a subscription.
You will have up to 25 days to arrange for subs payments to be sent to the Group. All Camps, trips and days out will need to be paid before the event commences.
What happens if I forget to pay and have not set up a monthly subscription?
The process for collecting and ensuring payments are received, will be:
Day 1 – the invoice will be loaded on OSM.
Day 11 – you will receive an email reminding you to complete the payment.
Day 21 – you will receive a final email reminding you to complete the payment.
Day 25 – your child will be suspended and not allowed to attend any meetings, until the invoice is paid.
If we still do not receive payment(s) by the end of the month, your child will loose their place.
Please do not let costs prevent your child from participating in the Scouting journey. Please speak with your Section Leader or Peter in confidence, if you are experiencing difficulties.
